If our dates are correct, Asus doesn’t have their CES 2017 event until tomorrow morning. That didn’t seem to matter to Qualcomm who just listed some key specs and details on the mysterious Asus Zenfone AR phone.
The headline states:
ASUS ZenFone AR is the world’s first Snapdragon 821 powered Tango enabled smartphone
One key feature of this new phone is that it’s both Tango and Daydream enabled. So within this phone you can utilize both augmented reality and virtual reality technologies.
The Snapdragon 821 is the top processor from Qualcomm at the moment. It’s tweaked just right and can provide all the graphical horsepower that is required from AR and VR experiences.
The model is the ZS571 which will likely be listed as ZS571KL. Here is proof as the Qualcomm search function says as much:
The Zenfone 3 Zoom certainly does not match the Snapdragon 821 specs and this AR model certainly remains a mystery. At least for one more sleep!

Update: That was fun. After a couple hours, it’s taken down. Word spreads fast these days don’t you know?
